Whenever the Rich Moved to pursue education in urban Schools  , The poor  were left hopeless for their education ,Thus  Late.Mr.Dharmasena  Established this school to lit Education for the  children from the kallady Mugaththuwaram Region . He single handedly Opened this school on 1960.03.22. Initially The school was names as 'Kaattuppalli'( Forest School) and there were no huge biuldings in the starting days and children used to study under cottages.Late Mr.Thambiyaiyah Donated the land of 5 Acres to this School from his own property . Mrs. Valliyammai & Mrs.Pathmavathi are the first two teachers served for this children in early days 

In 1961 The Government undertook  the school and names it as BT/New Colony Government Tamil Mixed School . In 1972  new buildings were built  and  in 1990  the school was upgraded with Grade 1-9 Classes.In 2004 Unfortunately this school has lost  54 Students and the Deputy Principal in ‘ Tsunami’ Disaster .Due to safety reasons people from this region moved to  other places and the student population of this school dropped drastically Since then . Even With about 250 at present  this school never failed to Obtain Awards  and Acheivements
