In an exciting development, the ‘Eastern Stars’*group from BT/Kallady Mugathuwaram Vipulananda Vidyalaya has joined hands with students from a school in the United Kingdom for an enriching cultural exchange program. The collaboration aims to strengthen cross-cultural understanding, promote global friendships, and share unique educational experiences between Sri Lanka and the UK.
The program kicked off with a virtual meeting between the two schools, with students from both sides exchanging insights about their cultures, traditions, and educational systems. Students from ‘Eastern Stars’ presented Sri Lankan customs, traditional dances, and local cuisine, while the UK students showcased their own culture, including their language, music, and historical landmarks.
"This collaboration provides an invaluable opportunity for our students to connect with their peers from across the world, learn about different cultures, and enhance their communication skills," said the Principal of BT/Kallady Mugathuwaram Vipulananda Vidyalaya.
